Wendy's Story...
Update - 8/27:Wendy has done very well in her foster home, and is no longer shy and reserved about meeting people. She is very friendly, and loves attention. Wendy's sister Lady was adopted last week by a wonderful family, and now it is Wendy's turn. She has done her job by learning wonderful house manners and being such a good girl. Won't you give this sweet girl her chance at happily ever after?

Meet Wendy! Wendy is a sweet, beautiful 18 month old female GSD. She and her sister Lady were surrendered to the shelter when their owners could no longer care for them, and we were called to give them a second chance at life. Now they are on to bigger and better things!

Wendy is very shy when meeting new people. She has lived her life outdoors until now, and is working on adjusting to her new life as a member of the family. She is doing well so far.

Wendy is utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. She has been spayed and microchipped.

Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Wendy must go to a home where she will live inside as an important member of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $395, which includes the ground transport fee ($100) for dogs who traveled to their new home and the health certificate fee ($45) that is required by the USDA for all animals crossing state lines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wendy, a Brattleboro German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
