Dash's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dash's Story...
Dash is his name! We like to refer to him as Dashing, though, because of how handsome he is! Dash came to us as an owner surrender due to a housing problem. He was very loved by his former owner and it shows in his demeanor.

He is an 11 month-old border collie/shepherd/retriever mix who is sweet as pie. His favorite move is to lean into anyone offering some snuggling. Dash has a very soft touch and a light walk, loves to run around in the yard or just sit and be with you. He only weighs about 40 lbs and is completely house broken. He knows basic commands such as sit, stay and give paw and is good on the leash. With the softest fur you'll ever feel, Dash will make the perfect cuddler! He is very affectionate and very, very funny. Dash gets around well with other dogs and is eager to please people of all ages, including kids. If you are interested in Dash, please contact Angela, our Canine Adoption Coordinator...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dash, a Oak Lawn Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
