Alana's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Alana's Story...
Alana is a 3 year old b/w spayed female smooth coat ABCA registered Border Collie. She is utd on inoculations, hw neg and on preventative.
When Alana came to us she had infected wounds from a dog attack and sarcoptic mange. She didn't have much energy but that has all changed. Alana is well now and she is a lively, loving girl who gets along with everyone. Alana is a little frightened of dogs she doesn't know but once she realizes they won't hurt her she is fine. She has a herding background but prefers to be a companion dog. She will chase cars, lawnmowers and other things that move so a fenced yard will be necessary. Alana wants to please, she is a little timid, quiet and obedient.
UPDATE 12/28
Alana is a very sweet and laid back girl. Her favorite activity is curling up on the couch with her foster brothers and sister. She wants nothing more than to be by your side and receive the occasional pat on the head. Her favorite treat is rawhide and she likes it so much she will chew until the whole thing disappears. She gets along well with both dogs and cats. She is very curious about the cats but does not chase or ‘herd’ them. We go for walks and she is comfortable at any pace.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alana, a Bellevue Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
