Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, everyone! My name is Violet, and I'm a sweet one! My name is kind of funny, the AZBHR lady and my foster mom could not think of a name for me, because they had SO MANY new dog names to think of lately, and when they pulled my new AZBHR leash and collar out of the bag and it was violet, well, that's that! Good thing they did not pull out a pink or brown one, huh? But anything is fine with me, I am so laid back. I am just 2 or so, so very beautiful that I have already had my picture in the paper (it was in a story about all the other poor animals in the pound that don't get a home). My foster mom says I was probably in the pound because I looked really pregnant, but the vet says it is just a false pregnancy. My foster mom and babysitter were so nervous that there would be puppies everywhere!
I don't think I will have a problem finding a forever home, because I am young, and beautiful, and housetrained and crate trained, and so gentle and loving and quiet. I have learned to come in a dog door, and sometimes a go out of it too, but I still like my humans to wait on me a little. I open the slider door to the back yard to go out (or in when Mom says stay OUT) but my foster mom yells at me 'cause I don't close it after me.
I caught pretty much everything you can catch at the pound while I was there, so I am on a medical hold while I get over my cold and cough, it should not be long, then I can be spayed and go to my forever home. I am a little plump, my foster mom thinks maybe my last owner fed me a lot of junk food like ice cream and French fries, because I don't like to eat dog food very much. She is mean and is making me learn to eat it. I like to look at my food bowl all day, and just nibble, but my foster brother and sisters steal all my breakfast just because I leave it there for a couple of hours, and THAT really makes me mad! I have to get all growly and stand over my bowl. My foster mom says I should just shut up and eat it right away or loose it and maybe some weight at the same time. That's MEAN. Please adopt me, I really need to be spoiled rotten instead! There is already a Princess Basset in this house, I need my own! I get along great with all the people and other pets I've met.
