Maxamillian's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Maxamillian's Story...
Maximillian (let's just call him Max from here on out) is a strikingly handsome boy.

Max can lope across the play yard and not look like he is running fast, but with that long gait, he gets to the other end in just a couple of seconds. We can see him partnering up with a runner to get a few more pounds on him, give him proper endurance training, and find out that you'll be hard pressed to keep up.

Max has had some training, but will benefit from more. He has a quirk or two to work out - who doesn't, these days, right? Max's issue is other dogs…he becomes reactive if there is a dog walking within his sight. Interestingly, he is not reactive going in and out of the kennels. Max is currently kenneled with Gus, a small tough terrier boy, and they love each other!

It will take a strong and experienced owner to work with Max and make him comfortable no matter what is going past.

If you have experience with bigger dogs, if you are a runner, if you are willing to do the hard work Max needs to become less reactive, this handsome fellow is available to meet you. All you have to do is come to the SB County Shelter, get an application approved, and we'll run him right out - fast! Maximillian is available now, to the right person!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxamillian, a Santa Barbara German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
