Nancy's Story...
Nancy is a gorgeous purebred white standard poodle who is looking for a new home because she was chasing the chickens at her former home. Nancy is only two years old, she weighs about 45 lbs., and she is outgoing, sweet, healthy, happy and active. She would love to find a home with a secure fenced yard, since she is used to having one, although she does walk beautifully on a leash. She has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm-tested and she is housebroken. Because she considers smaller animals (chickens, squirrels, cats, small dogs) to be chase-able, she would do best in a home with no other pets, or with medium or large dogs. Suggested donation: $400

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nancy, a Naugatuck Poodle (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Standard) for sale in Naugatuck, or seeking a Poodle (Standard) dog from a breeder in Naugatuck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naugatuck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naugatuck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Standard) breeders who help with Poodle (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naugatuck paves the way for another one to be saved.
