He is good with dogs but prefers females. He is not good with cats. Clyde's gentle ways make him the perfect companion. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, house and crate trained. Clyde is micro chipped and he is professionally obedience trained.
Poor Clyde has been over looked for adoption time and time again. Why? Because Clyde is mostly black. He has had several girlfriends who were preferred over him. His current girlfriend is Willa. Although he will be fine adopted by himself, he would love it if his girlfriend Willa could get adopted with him. He is a very good boy and a perfect companion who will do his person proud. Won't you consider giving Clyde a chance at a real home and family of his very own.
Clyde will be adopted to an inside forever home only. Must own home. No rentals please. Because he had to scavenge and hunt for his food he became adapt at climbing all manner and heights of fenced yards. Therefore 6 foot fence is required. As a companion to another dog he will be adopted to females only. References and vet checks, as well as a home visit are required. Clyde's adoption fee of $200 will be used to help other abandoned and abused dogs.

Clyde's Story: Clyde was abandoned as a puppy and grew up fending for himself to survive. He eventually found a girlfriend and the two were each other’s security and safety blankets. When his rescuer discovered them they began to experience the first real human love. She named them Bonnie and Clyde. We believe Clyde was someone’s puppy once where he experienced some human love but was soon dumped for whatever unreasonable reason. This early love, however, he remembered and it is for that reason that he rebounded from the abuse of the streets and random nasty people. Today he trust humans again and basks in the love they give him. His girlfriend, however, wasn’t so fortunate. She was feral. She was likely born to an abandoned or also feral momma and the lack of human contact left her feral and terrified. Clyde was her only friend. He was her safety net. He was the reason she slowly began to trust the Good Samaritan who eventually found them and took them under her wing. Eventually Bonnie died of a massive case of heart worms. Clyde was taken into rescue and was trained to obedience commands. He learned to live in a real home with loving people and today he is a well socialized, well-mannered doggy citizen that any human can be proud of. He is a testament to the resilience of dogs who against all odds put their trust in humans and flourish.
