Because Clyde is mostly black, he has been overlooked for adoption time and time again. He is a very good boy and a perfect companion who will do his person proud. Please consider giving Clyde a chance at a real home and family of his very own.
Clyde's Story: Clyde was abandoned as a puppy and grew up fending for himself to survive. He eventually found a girlfriend and the two were each others security and safety blankets. When his rescuer discovered them they began to experience the first real human love. She named them Bonnie and Clyde. We believe Clyde was someone’s puppy once where he experienced some human love but was soon dumped for whatever unreasonable reason. This early love, however, he remembered and it is for that reason that he rebounded from the abuse of the streets and random nasty people. Today he trust humans again and basks in the love they give him. His girlfriend, however, wasn’t so fortunate as to receive early love. She was likely born to an abandoned or also feral momma. This lack of human contact left her feral and terrified. Clyde was her only friend and was a huge help in teaching her to accept their benefactor and she too began to trust. Eventually Bonnie died of heartworms and Clyde was taken into rescue. He is now a well socialized, well-mannered doggy citizen that any human can be proud of.
Clyde will be adopted to an inside forever home only. Must own home. No rentals please. 6foot fence required. As a companion to another dog he will be adopted to females only. References and vet checks, as well as a home visit are required. Clyde's adoption fee of $200 will be used to help other abandoned and abused dogs.
