Beau's Story...
Beau is a 2 year old mantle male Great Dane. He came from a shelter in North Carolina. Beau was in a home with two other dogs so we know he will do well with other female dogs or a submissive male. He cannot go to a home with cats as he has a very high prey drive. He is ok with older children. Due to his sheer size, we will not place him in a home with children under 10 years of age. Beau is currently going through heart worm treatment and will be able to go to his new home in May.
Beau come to rescue on March 6, 2011.
PLEASE FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE BEFORE EMAILING US ABOUT ANY DOGS IN OUR RESCUE. WE CANNOT PROCEED WITH ADOPTIONS, MEETING A PARTICULAR DOG OR VISITS WITHOUT AN APPLICATION THAT HAS BEEN PROCESSED THROUGH OUR RESCUE. IF THE DOG/PUPPY IS LISTED ON PETFINDER THAT MEANS THAT THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beau, a Virginia Beach Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
