My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena was a young mom that gave birth in the shelter--she was friendly even though she had her pups to protect in the nosiy shelter. Mom and 10 day old pups came to our rescue and are all healthy and ready for adoption. We are looking for a foster home or a foster to adopt home for this very, very sweet mom. Athena has been an awesome mom; not only to her 8 pups but to the 3 pups abandoned by their mother--she welcomed them into her litter--she loves them all and plays and socializes them daily. Athena is great with other dogs but we are hoping to find a great home for her to now give her the love that she has given to 11 pups. Athena lost one of her babies after he tried so hard to survive--he was born without a paw and he could fit into the palm of your hand--each day she licked him and tried to feed him--and we watched the entire litter lay near him trying to keep him warm and to give him comfort. This mother was extraordinary...and as her vet says--the entire group is special.
