My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet beautiful Blondie . We have dubbed her our Georgia Peach because of her peachy personality and warm cream color. She's an English style purebred and is incredibly huggable with must-be-touched fur. Humans are her absolute favorite thing but she also gets along with dogs and cats. What more could you ask of a southern belle?
Blondie came to us from a high-kill shelter and has definite signs of neglect. Her owner passed away and the owners "family" brought her to the shelter. She had two badly infected ears and may suffer permanent hearing loss. Yet she remains the friendliest of dogs, willing to go along with whatever you have planned for the day, whether it's a nice walk, a ride in the car, or just lounging at home.

Blondie was obviously overly fed and likely got little or no exercise. Her New Years resolution is to lose 15-20 lbs so that she can fit back into her “skinny collar”. She has lost over 10 lbs so far. She is working hard and loves going on walks. Her absolute favorite thing to do (besides sleep) is walk off leash with her doggie friends. She is good about staying with the pack and walks with a spring in her step and a butt wiggle that is to die for.

The perfect home for Blondie will be one where someone is home most of the time. The most important thing to this girl is companionship and that is the least she deserves. She is good with other dogs but doesn’t really interact with them, so she would do just fine as an only dog or with another dog that doesn’t need a playmate. She has some allergies and is on special food and treats. She especially enjoys carrots which are approved for dogs with allergies.
