My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lexi is a beautiful, very sweet and friendly 7 year old gal with so much love to give! She's wonderful with other dogs - cats, too. Lexi came into our program because she needed surgery to remove stones from her bladder. This was her second go around with the surgery because the owners didn't change to the prescribed diet after the first time. With the appropriate dog food that she is now receiving, Lexi should not have to go through it again. She will need to remain on the diet for life - with no exceptions for inappropriate treats or human food - so we are considering her to be a Special Needs dog. Lexi walks well on a leash, likes car rides, and LOVES to have her tummy scratched. Oh - and she's bilingual! Mandarin is her second language. We have set up a fund to try to recoup some of Lexi's medical bills as they were quite high from all the tests and surgery - donations can either be mailed or sent through Paypal on our website (www.asian-dog-rescue.org). Lexi will gratefully thank all donors personally! Lexi is being fostered in upstate NY and her adoption fee is $250. E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.
