Nikki's Story...
This is a courtesy listing for Nikki, because we want to see this sweet pup find a new home FAST!

Meet Nikki. She is an approximately 8 year old pure bred German Shepherd who is looking for a new home. She and her good friend Jake were recently turned into a local shelter by an older woman because she couldn't afford to take care of them any longer (they originally belonged to her son) and then rescued from the shelter by the Safe Haven German Sheperd Rescue. Nikki is very sweet, housebroken, leash trained and would make someone a wonderful family pet or personal companion. She is quiet and social and is used to living with her best pal Jake (also listed here on PetFinder). Nikki is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations too

If you would like to meet Nikki, please drop by the All Hours Animal Hospital and Emergency Center where she and Jake are being boarded until they find a new home(s). The Hospital is located at 12th and I-35 in Moore (SW corner in New City Center near Locke Supply - phone: 237-1055) and they are open 24/7 so anytime is a good time to meet this wonderful girl. If you have any questions about her please contact Stephanie from Safe Haven German Shepherd Rescue at 405-650-0653 or e-mail her at sheps2haven@yahoo.com. The adoption fee for Nikki and Jake is $100 each or $150 for both if you take them together. Adopting them into the same home is preferred but not required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikki, a Oklahoma City German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
