Tank's Story...
Tank is a four year old tan and white unneutered male Pit Bull Terrier who arrived at the shelter as a stray and has not been claimed. He is a large, friendly boy who is very smart and would do well with an owner willing to continue teaching him some manners and basic obedience. Tank appears to do well with most other dogs; his behavior with cats is unknown. Due to his size and energy level, Tank would be best in a home with children over the age of 10. His adoption fee is $23.50 plus the cost of his neuter and rabies vaccine. For more information on adopting this beautiful boy, call the Meridian Valley Humane Society at 794-0944 or visit www.meridianvalleyhumanesociety.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tank, a Meridian American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Meridian, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
