Tessa's Story...
This little cutie is thought to be 3 months old and is an absolute delight to be around!! Tessa is a happy, playful and friendly black/white Border Collie/Lab mix who loves attention! She is very sweet, quite loving and naturally a very playful puppy. Tessa is crate trained and working on house training but is picking it up quickly. She loves playing with all size dogs and absolutely loves to play with her toys especially a rope toy and a old dishtowel in a knot

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Elise at 913-814-9891 or email her at CBush86975@aol.com to find out when and where you can meet TESSA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Overland Park Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
