Jimmy's Story...
JImmy is a black lab mix who is friendly yet not needy for attention. He can entertain himself gnawing his favorite bone and chilling out while his family is at work. He plays well with other dogs and is appropriate for school age children. Jimmy walks on a leash and knows the "sit" command. He has learned to sit before being let out a door or gate rather than bursting out ahead of the person walking him. Jimmy is crate trained and knows not to jump on people. He's uncomplicated, cheerful, and ready for adventures with his forever family. He'd be a great choice for a family who enjoyed camping, hiking, or jogging. Jimmy is neutered, vaccinated, and takes heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jimmy, a Chapel Hill Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
