Jakey, Mikey, and Sammy were born approximately the middle of January. This makes them approximately 3 months old. They are lab mixes and we expect them to be 50-60 pound dogs when full grown. Their mother was 50 pounds.
All of the puppies have been vet checked, started on their vaccinations and are current on their flea/tick and heartworm preventatives as well.
All of the puppies have been introduced to other dogs, both large and small, and have done wonderful with them. They love to run and play, however, if the other dog doesn't and growls at them, they back off and respect that dog's space. All of the pups have also been around cats and boy do they LOVE to try and get them to play! If the cat hisses and swats, they run away and then give the cat a wide berth afterwards!
The puppies are very social and they LOVE people. Given proper training and exposure, they would be wonderful with all ages of people and would be happy learning and experiencing different situations. All of the puppies are working on housetraing and they are all kennel trained. They typically do not have accidents as long as you let them out often enough, but they are puppies -- mistakes do happen. The puppies are also working on basic commands.
Jakey is a very mellow and happy boy. He loves to follow you around, but if you need to go somewhere without him, he's okay. He is kennel trained and working on housetraining. He has an independent streak, but he tries to make you happy as well. He would love a home with a bit of freedom and a friendly lap to snuggle in!
Sammy is very mellow and tries very hard to please. He does not like to be in trouble and if he thinks he's in trouble he will try and hide. He does best with gentle reinforcements on his good behaviors and he is SO HAPPY when you tell him how good of a boy he is. He has learned how to come when called, sit, and off. He's smart and catches on quickly. He would do excellent with any type of home setting where he is able to be your best friend!
Mikey is very independent. He likes some attention and is okay pleasing you, but he tends to be very stubborn. Mikey needs a firm owner who sets the rules and requires that he follows them. He would do best with older kids and would prefer to be the leader amongst his canine friends. He would do great in a home where they have a little more time to spend working on obedience and challening Mikey to be a good dog!
