Maverick's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Maverick's Story...
My foster parents are always learning more about me, but in a nutshell, I'm a big sweetheart! I love to play with people and other dogs and let the girls be the boss most of the time. I have greeted everyone I've met the same...generally leaning against them for some good scratching. I just love people!! I am a strong boy and will continue to need training. Consistent obedience training is a must for me.

I mostly like big dogs, but I kinda want to chase the small ones and may be too rough. Cats are a big no no...can you say "TREAT". I have proven to not be trustworthy around them. I am still a bit rough at play so a home with children over 10 would be best.

As you can see, I'm VERY handsome. I'm not perfect, but pretty darn close to perfect if I don't say so myself. If you would like more information about me please email my foster mom, Margie Grady, at cggrady@karnesec.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Austin Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Austin, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
