Sophie's Story...
Sophie is a long haired black and white female kitty. She is only about a year and a half old. Her fur is very nice and soft. It is between medium and long in length as it is longer around her face and tail than it is on the rest of her body. This girl is a total sweetheart. We picked her up because she was in an apartment building where pets were not allowed. She was well taken care of but just not allowed to be there. Sophie would thrive in a one or two cat household as she really likes attention so she would make a wonderful queen or princess of the house. Sophie is currently being fostered with other cats and dogs. She is very smart and has learned that every time the dogs come back in from outside that they get a treat...so she now lines up with the dogs when they come in to get her treat too.

This girl loves to sleep in the bed with you and just likes to relax. She is such a great girl. Please give her a chance and a home that she can call her own. Email courtneyvalent@hotmail.com to get your adoption application emailed to you. Be sure to title the subject of the email as SOPHIE ADOPTION APPLICATION so that it does not get lost in our junk mail.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Salamanca Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Salamanca, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Salamanca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salamanca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salamanca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salamanca paves the way for another one to be saved.
