A straight-A student who keeps getting sent to the Principal for distracting the class with his clowning-antics – Yes, that’s our loveable-rogue Bandit. Arriving at the shelter at only 10 months old, our favorite pup has grown into our favorite dog but we haven’t found a home savvy enough to keep up with this guy. Basic and advanced obedience commands are mere child’s play to Bandit and in the absence of a challenge he gets himself into trouble by playing the class clown; chewing, jumping, pulling and generally teasing. Bandit is cute-looking and medium sized at 38lbs but his intelligence and energy make him a behemoth of a dog. Bandit can be a bit of a prima-donna and as such does not want to socialize with other dogs. He is happiest with a squeaky in his mouth which he loves to chew and play with but he must be supervised because he will keep squeaking and chewing until the toy is in pieces – a potential choking hazard. Bandit will do best in a home where he at least suspects the people are smarter than he is and where he is challenged every day through creative play, advanced obedience or some other form of exercise that works both his body and his brain.
