Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The Chinese name Liang (Lee-ong) means bright, enlightened or to shine, and it really fits this little dog's personality. This little 5 year old teddy bear of a dog is just plain cheerful!! Liang loves to be on the go!!! His favorite thing is to take walks down the street, and spread cheer as he goes. Liang has good leash manners, but likes to trot down the road at a pretty good clip. He is an all round good dog. He enjoys being by his foster mom's side, but when she is busy Liang is content to lie by himself and chew on rawhide. Liang needs to lose 5-6 pounds so his love of exercise is a really good thing!!! Whoever adopts Liang will have to pay close attention to his diet and exercise routine so that he can lose the extra pounds and maintain a healthy weight. Liang ended up in rescue because his previous owner got too old to take care of him and his brother Liao. Liang has a heart murmur that doesn't seem to cause him any difficulty, but he is taking inexpensive medication to keep it from getting worse. He recently had a very needed dental cleaning, and the vet hopes that it will help with the murmur as it can be caused by infection. Liang came to us with a very bad flea infestation and lost most of his fur because of it. He is now flea-free, and we are working on getting his coat back in shape. Liang is very good natured and seems to get along with everyone - people, cats and other dogs. Liang is being fostered in North Carolina and his asking adoption fee is $250.
