Byron's Story...
Byron is a very sweet four-year-old boy. He plays constantly with his younger foster Weim sister, Lucy and gets along extremely well with his foster Weim brother too.

He is a calm, well-behaved dog that listens well. He knows all his basic commands and has great recall. He is a real keeper. He is very athletic and loves chasing a ball.

Byron will do well as an only dog or with other dogs. He is quiet except to alert you to something or someone. He is a typical Weim who loves to snuggle, is affectionate and “couch and bed” trained if you let him.

He does well off-leash on his daily walks on the trails near his foster home and is great in the car. We are unsure of smaller animals, as he seems to have a fairly strong prey drive. He is a terrific dog and will make a wonderful companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Byron, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
