Howie's Story...
Howie here! Howie’s it going? Get it? HA! Anyway, I’m a happy boy with personality galore. I know a few basic commands and a couple tricks too. I’ll speak for treat and tell all about myself! I like other dogs, and play real well with them. In fact I like other dogs almost as much as I like children! Yep, kids are my fav. I just love all the attention and playtime they offer me. I’m a very people focused dog who can’t wait to join your family and learn new things! I am crate trained already, and am doing really well with my leash training too. I could learn to get along with kitty cats a little better though, so let’s just find me a family without them ok? So Howies about you hurry in and say howdy to Howie! 3 years old- 55lbs-Shar Pei/Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier mix. My adoption fee is $120 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howie, a Portland American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei for sale in Portland, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
