My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Champ is a very handsome purebred chocolate lab boy and is on the smaller side for his breed. He weighs about 55 lbs and is shorter and stocky then some of the other guys. Champ came into LLR as a heartworm positive boy, has been through treatment and is now ready for his new home. He is a sweet boy and loves to get attention from his foster mom. Champ can be a bit bossy with the other gentlemen, but as long as they are not bossy back, all is good with the world. He will make a great dog for a family with older children and will be great as a single person companion. He would be classified as a medium energy dog and while still needing his exercise, he would love to lay on his dog bed, chewing a bone and watching TV with the fam. He walks well on lead, takes treats nicely, knows a few basic obedience commands and will do well with further classes. Champ can be cat tested if needed. He is crate trained and working on good house manners. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and is now heartworm free. Champ is micro-chipped and kept on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. If you are interested in adopting this good boy, please fill out an online application and request him on the notes section.
