Cassie's Story...
We found Cassie at the local shelter wagging her tail and standing up on her cage as if to say, "please take me". As soon as she was available, we did. A couple was looking at her and planned to tie her outside but we got her first. She is a beautiful, petite brindle boxer mix that loves everyone. She must be an indoor dog only. She wasn't well taken care of by her previous owner and only weighs 32 lbs. The vet says she should get up to 40 lbs. Cassie is now in foster care and we are working on putting those pounds on. She is housetrained and crate trained. She has been spayed and is UTD on vaccinations. Cassie will make a wonderful addition to some family but would do best without small children since she is playful and may knock a small child down without meaning to. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassie, a Hillsville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hillsville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Hillsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
