Eddie's Story...
This handsome little guy weighs 45 lbs and is a real sweetheart. He is only 1/1/2 years old, current on all vaccinations, Heart Worm negative, neutered, house trained, crate trained and as sweet as he can be. Eddie, who looks like Eddie on the Frazier Show except bigger, was just hours from being euthanized before GREAT Rescue came to his rescue. After a very long trip to Florida, Eddie visited with our rescue Vet, was given a bath, wormed and put in prime condition for adoption. Eddie does very well in the house and car, likes to visit with people, run and play and would enjoy being an only dog or having another for a companion. If you are interested in adopting Eddie, please go to our website at www.greatrescue.org to complete/submit an application. He is available for immediate adoption in North Florida.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eddie, a Jacksonville Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
