Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Shelby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shelby's Story...
I was lost and found someone who let me jump in their car. I am now in my foster home and loving life!! I am a very typical lab who loves everyone and loves to ride in the car! I settle down after a few minutes of looking out the window. I am not a chewer and am completely housebroken and crate trained. I love getting love and attention but am content to lay on my dog bed to take my naps. I am looking for a permanent home where I can live life to the fullest! I am full grown weighing 50 lbs. I hope to meet you soon!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Houston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
