Oliver's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Oliver's Story...
Oliver is a young male dog that was found as a stray. We are estimating him to be about 10 months old. Our best guess is that he is a papillon mix. He is housetrained and loves to sit in laps. He also gets along well with other dogs. He is such a sweet and sensitive boy that is anxious to find his new permanent home. Oliver weighs only 11 pounds and is full grown. He is heartworm negative, current on his vaccinations, and is on heartworm, flea, and tick preventative. Oliver will be neutered in the next week. (AE)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Portland Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Portland, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
