Cowboy's Story...
This guy is a little TANK on short, bow-legged legs, hence the name Cowboy all he needs is a hat and rope. He was terrified at the pound the louder the barking around him the more frightened he became. Once we got him outside and treated him with some hamburger he sure perked up! He just needed to get somewhere normal. He certainly isnt thin, could probably stand to lose a few pounds, as he weighs 26.5 lbs. Dont know who lost this little guy, but he wound up at the pound and were determined to find him a new and better life out there!

Cowboy is around 4yr old and 27lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $100

Cowboy will be available for adoption this weekend at Highland Village (next to Williams Sonoma)
4056 Westheimer Rd; Houston, TX 77027

Sunday 11am to 3 pm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cowboy, a Houston Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Houston, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
