My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Rebel! I am a very loving, well-behaved and sweet four year old sable male Shar-Pei. I am all settled in at my foster home in North Carolina, and life is GOOD! Hmmmm...what do I like best here - well, I have to say just being inside and having lots of company (people and dogs) is such a treat for a social guy like me. I am very curious and am learning all about inside things like brooms, washing machines, dresser drawers, and vacuums (have you seen one of those - wowzers!). I like to follow foster Mom and Dad around to check out all of these cool things; and of course, just to get some attention or sneak in a kiss! Foster Mom says I have been smiling since I got here!

I am a really good boy. I‘m already housebroken and crate trained and have never chewed on anything that wasn‘t a toy. I am crated during the day because the other three dogs here are crated, but I sleep in the bedroom with everyone at night.

I love to meet new people and hardly ever bark. I get along with the other dogs here and recently went on a vacation and stayed with two other Pei for a few days. I did great there too. They also had three children that I got along fine with. I couldn't find the switch to turn the kids off, so I just retreated to the closet when they wore me out! Now cats are another story. I do like to chase them and they don't seem to like this very much, so a cat-free home would be best for me.

I am already neutered and am ready to go to my "furever" home. I am really good on a leash and love to go for walks, so I would make a great walking or jogging partner. I am also up for giving out kisses and hanging out with my people! Do I sound like the guy for you? If so, please fill out an application and ask for Rebel!
