My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Domino has a very outstanding coloured coat that has to be seen to be appreciated. He is a friendly dog with both adults and children but prefers a quieter home life. He is approximately 2 - 3 years old. He is a typical Cocker who can be stubborn at times but does love to be petted and praised. He has a show dog stance and may have been originally destined for the show ring. He is good with people of all ages including children.

Domino is house trained and is currently left alone in the home with other dogs, and cats with no issues. He does sleep in his crate at night but doesn't need to be crated at all. He is a very people oriented dog and loves to snuggle. He gets along well with the other dogs but has some issues when food is involved so in a home with other dogs that would need to be worked on, or he would need to be fed separately. Although he does like to play with the other dogs, he would be fine as the only dog in the home and has no problem amusing himself.

Domino is clean and quiet in the home and would have no problem being left alone for a normal working day. He would love to have a backyard to play in but would be fine in an apartment as long as he got out for a daily exercise. He is quiet in the home so apartment living would be no problem. He doesn't shed much but would need someone willing to keep up with his grooming needs.

Domino is a little show dog and knows "sit" and "stay". He likes to go for walks but still pulls a little but with further training he will do well. He likes going for car rides. He does not try to steal food although he will beg sometimes but a "no" and he walks away. He doesn't seem to like being outdoors without someone being with him and prefers to do his business and come back inside.

Domino is a character, he's goofy, fun loving and yet stubborn and rebelious. A firm hand will have this little dog showing his full potential as a loving member of the family. Though he would do best as an only dog, if someone is going to take the long term time and energy to train him then he'll be fine.

If you think Domino would be a good choice as a companion, please go to our website at http://uglymutts.com and submit an application for consideration.
