Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Meggie was born 2/5/2006. She was raised by a family to be a companion for their elderly mother. When her owner passed away, nobody was able to keep Meggie, you see they all had small dogs and Meggie does not care for small dogs. They were heartbroken with their decision but had to give her up. Meggie is currently on a diet to lose some weight. She is very personable and enjoys being with people. She has been doing OK with our 6 year old female but does tend to get a little rough when playing. I think she prefers being an only dog and getting all of the attention. Meggie enjoys walks and rides in the car. She will give you lots of kisses and hugs. If she is around another dog, she becomes possessive of her toys and will try and bite them. However she is OK with us taking her belongings and shows no signs of aggression. She is highly intelligent and can open gates and sliding glass doors. I am sure she other tricks up her sleeve that she hasn't shown us yet. Meggie is looking for someone that needs her too - she wants to be your companion and help you. The question is can you help her by making her feel the love that her mom always had?
