Puddy's Story...
Puddy was named by Lauri, his rescuer, who is a big fan of Seinfeld, though she's not sure the name fits him.

Here is Lauri's story: "So he came to me when he was about 4 months old. His collar was so badly embedded in his neck. It was the worst case I've ever seen. The owners admitted that they did nothing with the dog but throw down food for him outside once a day. When we told the owners what kind of treatment he needed, they said they were unable to afford to keep him. They turned him over to me. After several weeks of antibiotics and hydrotherapy multiple times a day, he has fully healed. He is such a silly puppy. He has so much wonderful personality. It is a lot of fun to watch him play outside. He runs like crazy around the yard. When it is he and I one on one, he listens very well, but when anyone else comes close, he gets so excited, he starts jumping and doesn't listen very well. He just loves attention so much, since the first 4 months of his life, he had no attention. He does very well in his crate at night. Once he goes to bed, you don't hear a peep from him and he hasn't used the bathroom in his crate once. He knows how to hold it all night. He is sweet with children; he just gets so excited that it's like he can't help himself from jumping. So he still needs work in that area, but he has never once shown any aggression. Not even when he was in pain and I was scrubbing his wounds. He just sat there wagging his tail.

" Such a sweet puppy. He just needs good room to run and some work with training. Let me know what else I can do to help find this great little guy a great home."

I saw Puddy's neck where his collar was embedded when he was first rescued by Lauri and then I saw him again once his neck had healed. His recuperation was amazing. We really don't know what breed he is but he's VERY sweet and smart and will make a wonderful companion. His coat is soft, black with a white tuxedo front and beautiful red cheeks and highlights. He's still a puppy, probably 5-6 months old.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
