Brayden's Story...
I've been at CARE since I was a pup so I don't remember any other life. I appreciate being rescued, but to tell the truth life is pretty boring in a kennel. I've lived with enough pen mates to know that I can get along with most dogs. My biggest joy is when a volunteer takes me out on a walk, but that doesn't happen very often. Word travels back on the grapevine that when I go to a forever home, I'll have individual attention, hugs and even kisses every day! I'm past the wild puppy stage but still a young dog ready to give many years of faithful companionship. No one has ever tested me with kids or cats, but I'm willing to learn anything to get a home of my own. The volunteers say my coat is unusually thick and soft--luxurious is the word they use--and would be stunning if I was groomed. I like the sound of that---luxurious Brayden--I could get used to the idea.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brayden, a Wilmington Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
