Rooftop Dea's Story...
Dea is a beautiful brindle 1.3 year old girl with a heart of gold. She heard retirement was "the bomb" so she flunked out of racing school. She's now ready to start learning how to be retired. She's a curious girl who loves to explore the kennel yard and go for walks. She enjoys watching what is happening outside and if you have a sofa in front of your front window she will be most content watching the squirrels this spring. She is young so she is more like a puppy and will need some training but you will be rewarded with years of devoted love. She is crate trained but not yet house trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rooftop Dea, a Gerrardstown Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Gerrardstown, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Gerrardstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gerrardstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gerrardstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gerrardstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
