Ruff Ruff! My name is Oscar

Furry Kids' Refuge needs BLEACH and LYSOL type cleaners (NO PINE Scented, please).  If you have any to spare you can drop them off at our weekly adoption events held at the Lee's Summit Petco every Saturday from Noon to 4pm.  Or call 816-277-8284 to arrange for a pick-up of large donations.  Thank you!

Oscar is a Shepherd/Shar Pei mix weighing around 50 lbs.   He is a wonderful boy with a Great Spirit and personality.  Oscar wants to be near his owners as much as possible and is a big time cuddler!  He would curl up next to you on the couch and look at you with his soulful eyes all day if you'd let him.  But don't let that fool you because Oscar also loves to play!  When the mood strikes him, he has boundless energy and just wants to play, play, play!  He can get a little rough sometimes, so he would probably due best in a home with older children.  He might be too much for the little ones.  

Oscar is great with other dogs and cats. He is both kennel and housetrained!  He is not a big barker.  However, Oscar can jump a 4' fence.  He would love to find someone with a privacy fence so he could run around the yard and use up some of his energy!

Oscar is a great happy-go-lucky dog!  Don't let him pass you by!
