Laredo's Story...
Laredo is a 3 year old boxer mix girl who is quite a character! She was a found dog in Laredo, Texas a few months ago. The finder came back to Minn. now but can't keep her as they already have two dogs. Laredo gets along with other dogs and puppies very well. She is housetrained too. Laredo tested positive for heartworm but she has now completed treatment and is doing well. She was in a foster home during her recovery and did quite well but she's a very smart girl and we've discovered that she can climb. We've seen Laredo climb a six foot chain link fence to get over to us! So she'll need a home with alternate means to keep her around such as wood fencing or invisible fencing. She is quite the girl! Adoption fee:$275.00 Donations to help pay for her heartworm treatment are accepted and appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laredo, a Mora Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Mora, or seeking a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Mora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mora paves the way for another one to be saved.
