Simba's Story...
Simba is a beautiful, 5-year-old, declawed Abysinnian who was dumped at the city pound when former owners acquired a dog. Simba was totally traumatized when dropped off at the shelter. Due to her extreme fear, she was not put into adoptions. This beautiful purebred cat ended up on the Euthanasia list! We rescued Simba. For the first day, she would not come out of her carrier. She was depressed and scared and refused to eat for several days. However, now Simba is eating and enjoys being petted. Simba is actually a very sweet and loving cat, but she needs to go to a home that UNDERSTANDS Abysinnians and declaws. These cats are very sensitive and need to be in quiet, loving, adult homes. If interested in beautiful Simba, please call us at (212) 427-8273. Please have committed cat experience.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a New York Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in New York, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
