My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are pleased to introduce, the respectable Lady Jane, This gorgeous maiden comes to us from an urban, high kill shelter, where she had been adopted from 5 years earlier and then heartlessly brought back by her owner who claimed he "had no time for her anymore." In fact, he was so busy that he would not even fill out the form to give the shelter any basic information about her! He just handed over the leash and walked out the door. Never even said goodbye to our poor Lady Jane, who desperately cried & tried to pull towards the door in an attempt to get back to her beloved owner who just abandonded and betrayed her & literally left her there to die.

The workers and volunteers at the shelter were so disgusted at how cold & uncaring her owner could be and their hearts went out to our poor Lady Jane who they said "Is the nicest, sweetest and most affectionate girl." They were able to trace her in the computer system to when she was there the first time and they even found her original picture of when she was a puppy, 5 years ago.

Being everyone at the shelter was so smitten with Lady Jane, they did make an attempt to get her adopted but because Lady Jane was repeatably looked over by vistors to the shelter (who were looking for younger dogs.) Lady Jane's time quickly ran out and she was slated for euthanasia . We were contacted by the shelter in a desperate and final plea to save her life and we welcomed her into MRR.

Oh and did we mention that Our Lady Jane is not only very lovely but also very well mannered indeed . She likes the comforts of life like a soft bed and lots of affection. Lady Jane is currently seeking a home or a foster home. Someone who will love her and give her the home & attention she has always deserved! Someone who will never again say, I have no time for you .....:-(

Lady Jane is available for adoption with Mountain Rottie Rescue of New York.
