Rocky's Story...
Hey, this is Rocky

I am looking for a forever home. I can’t believe I have found myself homeless. WOW I have no idea what I did wrong to get dumped. I did hear my owner say he had to move and there was nowhere for me to go. I thought for sure he would make some better arrangements then the Junk yard.

It sure is nice being in the house having my own bed and bowls. I even have a small pillow for my big head to lye on. The food is wonderful, I had no idea it could be so good! The only thing I wish for now is my own human to watch over, be a friend to and let them know when something is different in the house or outside. It would also be cool if I had a female friend to play with, children to watch over and a cat to tease.

Rocky was left in a Junk Yard to fend for himself. He is emaciated and will need many groceries to get to a normal weight.

Regardless of being dumped, no food or water Rocky is the happiest and playful guy! He just wants to be somebody’s buddy; he’s a man’s best friend. He enjoys care rides, visiting humans’ adults or children, cats, other dogs, hanging out while you do yard work and lying by your feet while you check your emails and most of all hugs!

He is 6 years young and ready for a new life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Gig Harbor Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Gig Harbor, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Gig Harbor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gig Harbor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gig Harbor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gig Harbor paves the way for another one to be saved.
