Rocky's Story...
Rocky is a big boy! He weighs about 60 lbs at 9 months old. Rocky is super sweet and playful and will be a wonderful family companion, although he should be placed with older children due to his size. Rocky was abandoned with an eye injury and it had to be removed....this does not slow him down a bit! His adoption fee is $300 which includes neutering, shots, microchip, and transportation fee. Please email Carrie at memmes@sbcglobal.net for more information and adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Monroe Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
