Smokey's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Smokey's Story...
Smokey thought he had a caring family...but when they moved, he was tossed out on the street to fend for himself like a piece of garbage! Thankfully, a kind & caring neighbor brought him in and reached out for rescue help and a 2nd chance for this most affectionate kitty.

Smokey is estimated to be 8 mos old and is a real charmer. He has so much love to share....he enjoys being held, will nuzzle your neck and rub against your legs. Smokey also loves to play...furry mice, pom poms are favorite toys. Another young kitty wrestling partner would make his life complete. (He's dog-friendly, too!). Meet him in his Alexandria, VA foster home or upon request at our DC adoption fair.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Arlington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
