Chandler & Cormick's Story...
Chandler & his brother, Cormick, were brought to a local high kill shelter by their former family for reasons unknown. Just 1 1/2 yrs old, they have sweet, mild mannered purr-sonalities. Chandler is the more outgoing of the pair...a gentle, cuddly teddy bear of a cat, he pats you with his large velvet paws, never showing his claws and wants to be near ...or on... you! Cormick takes awhile to feel comfortable with new people/environments. When his foster mom sits on the floor, Chandler quickly seeks out her attention. Cormick initially watches from the sideline and soon his shyness is overcome with his desire to get some loving too! These boys have been through alot and would love to find a home where they can remain together. They will need regular brushing to keep their gorgeous coats from matting, but that's not too much to ask ! All medical work done. Meet them in their Burke, VA foster home. Updated 5/4/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chandler & Cormick, a Arlington Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
