My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finny is a great little dog who did not have it easy. . He is a 7 year old Shih-Tzu who spent most of his "before" life in a crate in a puppy mill. That means 8 years without being able to get out, smell the grass or play in the snow. He eventually ended up at the pound where the Kiko Ladies picked him up. Still, Finny does not have a mean bone in him. He gets along with dogs, cats and humans, big or small. Finny learns quickly, he is bright and adapts well. He is not fully clean in the house yet, as he was not really shown how to do that ever in his life, but he is improving every day and really wants to do well. If you have the will and the patience, Finny will prove a great and loyal companion. His springy early days might be behind him, but he is full of life. He does enjoy running outside, sniffing around the backyard but will gladly lie down on your laps or close to you on the sofa for hours on end. We believe Finny will do great in a family with kids, not necessarily as the single pet in the house. He can also stay at home alone during the day, he does not suffer from anxiety. Finny is not picky, he knows better thanks to his frightful start in life. He simply wants to be loved and accepted for what he is, a small, wise and gentle dog with a lot of love to give away.
