Dora's Story...
Dora is an 8 week old female hound mix that was abandoned with her siblings and mom when her owner was evicted. Dora is now ready for a new permanent home, as are her mom and siblings! Dora is current on her puppy vaccinations and deworming. She will be spayed prior to transport to her new home. If you are interested in any of her siblings they are Bernie (M), Trace (M), Lucy (F), Martha (F), and Billy (M). Dora's mom is a medium sized black and tan lab/hound mix who is very sweet. Her name is Lacey and she will be available in a few weeks. (AE)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dora, a Windham Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Windham, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
