Abigail's Story...
(D.O.B. Oct 28, 2008) ABIGAIL was rescued as a stray that had been abandoned outdoors to fend for herself. She had a litter of kittens while outdoors and was brought to safety with her kittens. Her kittens have all been weaned and she is now ready for a home of her own. She is sweet and charming with people. Abigail is currently in foster care with several other cats and is miserable. She is nervous and stressed and would be happy to be the only pet. She is in need of a home as soon as possible. Abigail's adoption fee is $175.00, includes vet check, vaccines to date, spay, FeLV/FIV tested negative, microchip, deworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a Markham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Markham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Markham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Markham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Markham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Markham paves the way for another one to be saved.
