Phoenix's Story...
This beautiful girl is Phoenix! She's a 1 year old Golden Retriever mix, who was abandoned by her family... left behind when they moved to Arizona. Despite enduring such neglect, Phoenix loves people SO much! She is extremely friendly and loves children. Being still so young, she needs guidance to learn good manners (like not jumping up to greet people), but learned "sit" in just a few minutes! Phoenix is very smart and eager to please, adapting quickly to changes in her environment.

Sweet Phoenix wants nothing more than a home she can call her own FOREVER. If you would like to adopt Phoenix, please contact us at forrescuetn@gmail.com to request an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoenix, a Huntsville Golden Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
