Moonbeam's Story...
Moonbeam
9 month old Female Black Maine Coon Mix

Moonbeam needs to be adopted with her friend Sherbert on the kitten page.

Purebreds Plus received a call in late June from a senior citizenwho said she
had found a Persian kitten under her deck and was now keeping it in a moving box in her apartment. When one of our volunteers went to take a look, it was apparent that the little black kitten wasn’t a Persian, but our volunteer
couldn't leave without her, so we took her under our rescue "Paw".

Moonbeam is a beautiful, jet black, long-haired female. Her silky fur glitters
and shines in the sun. She is very sweet, a little shy and skittish, but also
playful and affectionate. She seeks out attention when she trusts you; in fact,
if you hold her and lean over her to give her an Eskimo kiss, she will hold your
face between her little front paws and kiss you back! She also gives little
love bite/kisses on your cheek and hands. She has cute habits like dipping her feet into the water bowl to play in the water.

Moonbeam's best friend and snuggle-chum is Sherbet, also on the kitten page. (If we’d known they were such going to be such a delightful, contrasting duo, we might have named them Moonbeam and Sunbeam!) We would like them to be adopted together, so they can continue to enjoy each other’s company.

These darlings are looking for a quiet home with no dogs or small active
children.

Moonbeam and Sherbet are fostered in the greater Sacramento area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moonbeam, a Davis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Davis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
