Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Remy is an approximately 6 year old male Lhasa Apso. He loves to sit and snuggle and sleep by your side at night, but, like most male Lhasas, has a bit of a stubborn streak when you want him to do something he doesn't want to do - like trying to get him to move off of your spot on the couch. But Remy is very bright and picks up on expectations quickly, trying to be compliant. He is not cat friendly and will bark at and chase them. He is ok with other dogs - mildly skittish until he gets to know them.
Since male Lhasas as a rule aren't great with young children, we will only place him in a home with kids no younger than 14. Remy was returned after 3 years because the couple had a baby who is now a toddler that wouldn't leave him alone and got nipped. He will make a great companion dog for a single, couple, or small family with no young children. Remy is being fostered in Suffolk, VA and his asking adoption fee is $200.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
