Duke's Story...
The family has a two year old child and said the toddler climbs all over Duke. They have communicated that Duke is wonderful, absolutely the sweetest, most tender boy ever. They have tried so hard to make this work and are extremely emotional about it. Duke is less than one year old and is still a puppy. He has been inside their house, sleeping on the sofa and being part of a family. He's a wonderful, wonderful dog, and for the past few weeks, actually had a real life.

Duke needs to go ASAP as in this weekend. I have no place to put him other than boarding. I have several cats and chickens, and am also dealing with another large breed at my house.

I will not, absolutely not take him back to the shelter.

Is there anyone out there willing/able to help with Duke? His breed labels him, but he is a sweet, adorable boy. Look at that face. He just needs a chance. Duke is currently in Tampa and needs to be transported to another home. He is fully vetted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Miami American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Miami, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Miami.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Miami already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Miami breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Miami paves the way for another one to be saved.
