for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Ace's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Ace's Story...

This dog is eligible to have its adoption fee waived if adopted on the June 1st Maddie's Adoptathon weekend. Please apply early as all other steps of the adoption process, home check and meeting family, need to be completed by June 2nd.

Handsome, trim, healthy 40 lbs guy with lots of athletic potential -- that’s me! A quiet and gentle guy, I love romping, playing, and exploring at the park and beach with my big-dog foster pack. Herding is in my blood, which is only natural since my parents were probably Kelpie/Cattle Dog. I would love the opportunity to participate in herding, noseworks, agility, or some other dog sport.

Now that I am about 3 years old, I am ready for some quality one-on-one time with a human pack of one or more. I'm still very shy with people I don't know, so my adopters (adults only, please) will have to be patient while I get to know them. It would be best to have a well-adjusted dog already in the household to be my mentor and show me the ropes. I haven't decided how I feel about cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ace, a San Francisco Australian Kelpie/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Australian Kelpie/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Kelpie/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
